I voted James Marsden. [In reply to] Can't Post

But Tye Sheridan brought justice to the character. I also liked the Cyclops from X-Men Origins, but I felt that he actually was a young James Marsden.

cylons, cybermen, oh, that guy... [In reply to] Can't Post

I've missed a few of the latest X-Men, so I only have the first Cyclops to go on.

ANd the comics.

ANd Wolverine retracting two of his blades and using an epithet...

No, he doesn't. However, as Nick Fury, Director of S.H.I.E.L.D., he is a cyclops (having lost an eye).

I think that Starling is funnin' ya. Mikhail Bakunin was a nineteenth century Russian revolutionary anarchist (unless there's a second one who is perhaps a voice actor).

Good spotting, Otaku! [In reply to] Can't Post

I was actually referring to Mikhail from LOST (the Russian 'other' with an eye-patch).
But, like so many LOST characters, he was named after a real historical figure.

What a dangerous 'other' he was.

I have no idea who Tye Sheridan is [In reply to] Can't Post

but I positively HATED James Marsden as Scott Summers and Famke Janssen as Jean Grey. Neither of them portrayed the characters I knew and loved from the comics and I just didn't get a sense of chemistry between the two when Summers-Grey was one of the all-time great love stories in Marvel history.

Tye Sheridan is the new actor playing Cyclops, opposite Sophie Turner of Game of Thrones fame as Jean Grey. [In reply to] Can't Post

He's in films like Last Days in the Desert, Scouts Guide to the Zombie Apocalypse and the Stanford Prison Experiment.
