As I've only seen Princess Kaguya, I'm afraid! I've meant to watch the others--and every other Ghibli film I've missed.

But I will say that Princess Kaguya was, for me, a phenomenal work in its own right!

Princess Kaguya was my favorite by him as well! Such a solemn and beautiful movie! I believe it's one of Ghibli's best! I must guiltily say, I haven't seen the Yamadas yet, but am borrowing it from the library, hoping to watch it this weekend!

What Studio Ghibli films have you seen?

Caveat: I have not seen either My Neighbors the Yamadas nor Only Yesterday (though the last is on my NetFlix queue.

It was well made and it told a beautiful and tragic story. I think you will enjoy Only Yesterday. We had rented it from the local library and it did not disappoint! Also, the dubbing was really good too!
