Disney/Ava DuVernay's 'A Wrinkle in Time' Adaptation Scouting for NZ Locations

Looks like Disney is taking another live-action adaptation to NZ soon. Ava DuVernay ('Selma') posted a few pictures on Twitter (https://twitter.com/AVAETC) from a day of scouting a few beautiful spots around the country. I couldn't find any familiar names in the crew list when I did some research--Disney's 'Pete's Dragon' remake had quite a few--though below-the-line general crew and extras will certainly have plenty of LotR/Hobbit alums in its ranks. Thought I would share this with our NZ 'sibs who might be on the lookout in coming weeks/months for this production in their neck of the woods. Keep an eye out for Oprah, Reese Witherspoon and Mindy Kaling, I suppose!

and I was hugely disappointed by the previous adaptation. I hope this one captures the Murry family and the great story.

I love this book, too, and I hope for at least a decent movie from it. a.s.

I sure hope any movie does it justice but I'm deathly afraid of them missing the essential spiritual component of the books because it's not PC. Disney isn't exactly known for being faithful to the stories they adapt.
