Feeling nostalgic [In reply to] Can't Post

Im quite a new member here (though Ive done a bit of lurking), but Im so glad i found TORn. When FotR came out I started beeing active at a german forum and was there for a long time. Then real life happened and I stopped.
My friends irl are not into it, but my brother is a Tolkien lover as well. Every time we talk Tolkien comes up. We both like the movies and the books and have rewatched and reread. And we seem to never get tired to talk about over favorite scenes and quotes. I remember I almost cried when I first watched the Shire on the cinema screen. I still feel the same now as I did then. I remember rereading my favorite scenes while waiting for the movie premiere.
As almost nobody around me is a Tolkien fan I moved on to other fandoms for a while, but Tolkien and his was always with me. After listening to The Prancing Pony Podcast I was reminded once again what a great fandom this is and how much I miss talking to other fans. It seems as you can never really get away from Tolkien.

May you have the hindsight to know
where you've been,
the foresight to know where you're going to and
the insight to know when you're going too far.
