Well, it's a given that whatever pic I choose will feature his #Majesty, and I have quite a few of those (big surprise!) But every time I see THIS pic, I have to laugh. I can only imagine what disparaging remarks these two are making at the Elves expense I'm sure you guys can think of something hilarious - can't wait to read 'em!

So says Thorin to Dwalin over Lindir when he first appears to the Company. (Great pic Kili! Always wondered what they were saying in the movie! )
"Keen, heart-piercing was her song as the song of the lark that rises from the gates of night and pours its voice among the dying stars, seeing the sun behind the walls of the world; and the song of Lúthien released the bonds of winter, and the frozen waters spoke, and flowers sprang from the cold earth where her feet had passed."

Graham Mctavish said that what they were really saying to each other (since they knew it wouldn't be heard) was "Where's the toilet here?" "We'll use the toilet, then leave." They would bring up the toilet in any non-heard conversation shot

Are real men afraid of dresses? Your language is mildly sexist by implying that wearing a dress somehow diminishes a man - makes him inferior to "real" men.

The caption does not represent the personal beliefs of this poster, but merely reflects an attitude attributed to the character of Dwalin son of Fundin. Lighten up; it's just a gorramn joke!

Never heard that before.... Hundreds of people read this website,
and our Terms of Service forbid sexist language. My response was more
to highlight that TORn does not tolerate that kind of language, even as a
joke.

I didn't know we had to be careful not to offend cis white Elves. TOS or no TOS, I really don't think I've crossed any lines here.

Put the blame on me, then. I encouraged people to make disparaging remarks about the Elves. And OS isn't the only one that thinks Thorin & Dwalin might be making fun of Lindir in a dress, maybe that was PJ's intent?
