but I'm a big fan of jigsaw puzzles, as are most of my family and many of my friends. For some reason I only do them in the winter - it might be the weather!
The crew of our local ferry have taken to leaving jigsaw puzzles out on a few tables, so one can while away the trip. One day I was working at a large one and a man walked by and said "you don't expect to finish that before we land, do you?" Then he walked on, saw another puzzle on another table, and I heard him go "OH, they're already here!" Guess he thought I'd brought my own 1000-piece puzzle and expected to complete it in half an hour!

Preferably with a pot of chili or stew or chunky homemade soup going and perhaps a kettle of water for tea or some fresh ground Hawaiian coffee to drink while I listen to the rain softly falling.
If reading, I like to play background music like the Carpenters, Amy Grant, Brothers Cazimero, light jazz, etc.
