See vid at: https://www.facebook.com/WetaWorkshop Oh wow. Nothing wrong w. toys (Bridge) and high-end figs and models - but. This. Vid says it all (and there was something heartwarming about seeing these artists having collections of Funko POPs in their offices). In theory you could eventually have all of Middle Earth in your basement, the way train layouts are done. I'm in for my favorites, I hope the line goes through. I hafta think, for sure, a Bag End w. dwarves, Bilbo, Gandalf would fly off the shelves. And small figures where the features aren't generic blobs would be welcome (tho I have seem some nice stuff from the modelling community)

I just saw the video a few hours ago, and I am so excited for these! I've always loved dioramas (I really love the diorama bases Asmus has been including with their figures for that reason), so I'm definitely in for a few of these! Can't wait to see what the final products look like!

Love dioramas too - it's one of the reasons I liked the Hobbit collectibles that came in the disk sets (like the "barrels" fig). And I've been LOL stalking what ASMUS is up to as well, think the base they included w. their Aragorn and the accessories w. Saruman are amazing - hope the company keeps up the good work (and am waiting on rumored? planned? Thorin and Bilbo and Thranduil but might go for Bard at some point....) Seems like the 1:30 idea is getting a positive reaction as long as the paint apps are kept up. It's tough w. smaller figs. But even then, depending - I wouldn't like it, but if the underlying sculpt is good I could see folks just re-painting - lots of folks into modelling. But a chance to get some interiors and stuff that would never be made at 1:6 scale. I'm already picturing a Bag End interior w. all the dwarves.
