Caption Contest CIV: A more elegant contest for a more CIVilized age? Can't Post

Not likely! This will probably make Silverlode regret naming me winner of the last round. Sly I suppose a psychoanalyst would have something to say about my choice of an "entertaining" image:

And what do your captions say about you? Have at it, compadres!

There was something about the assassin from the Lollipop Guild that gave him away... / [In reply to] Can't Post

Elves and Men and Dwarves gonna cower,
When I finish building my tower,
When I finish building my tower with the Eye on top!
Watch that Eye and see how it glowers,
Ain't no contest between the Two Towers,
Nosey folks'll peek thru' palantirs and their eyes will pop!
The battlement's black and immeasurably strong, an adamant mountain of iron,
A buttress of steel, impossibly tall, held aloft by the power of Sauron!
See that Eye a winkin' and blinkin',
Ain't no finer tower I'm thinkin',
You can keep Orthanc if you're thinkin' that I'd care to swap,
For my black and shiny tower with the Eye on the top!

-Rodgers and Hammerstein, The Lord of the Rings

Sing a song of long lament
The days be past, the years are spent
The flames of fire, on funeral pyre
The warrior's soul it's wing'd way hath sent

Real Orcs Don't Use Floss // [In reply to] Can't Post

I am a dreamer of words, of written words. I think I am reading; a word stops me. I leave the page. The syllables of the words begin to move around … The words take on other meanings as if they had the right to be young.

Crazy glue on the knife? Now that's a prank and a half! [In reply to] Can't Post

Being a guy, I can't help but appreciate pranks that involve crazy glue and other people's flesh. Come on down, Loresilme, cuz you're the next contestant on "The Caption is Right!"

Mad props to all entrants, and special kudos to Darkstone's new footer which I just noticed. Rogers and Hammerstein would be proud. Or maybe horrified, it's hard to say.
