**Founders Day: Bilbo's Brainteasers!

Welcome to a Founders Day Game - a revisit to Bilbo's Brainteasers!
For a long time, Altaira (and Bilbo) would post weekly Brainteasers, to test your knowledge of all things Middle-earth. Some were challenging - but all were great fun!
On occasion I'd fill in when they were off travelling. This puzzle was in honor of one of her trips to New Zealand. 
Let's see how well you know your Middle-earth places. You'll need to figure out what each is, from the riddle provided. For clues, three letters are already given. See if you can do this closed-book!

Right around the time I discovered TORN, I saw a TV special or report in which some people involved with the Lord of the Rings films referred to the Rohirrim as the "Rohans". I thought of that today while watching this Youtube compilation of the "Top Ten Samurai Movies" that not only misdescribes the plot of Yojimbo but in its discussion of Seven Samurai keeps referring to more than one ronin as "ronins" (the singular and plural are the same).

Well, couldn't come up with answers for three of these but I'm pretty confident in the rest...I did have to double check spelling though. I'm a lousy speller.
This was fun, dernwyn. And a reminder that I need to do a re-read.
