So hard to choose [In reply to] Can't Post

But I went with ROTK because of Pelennor Fields and the charge of the Rohirrim

Difficult [In reply to] Can't Post

This is really hard to do, I love all six of them but if I must take one I take AUJ.

Good choice SMI! [In reply to] Can't Post

I choose ROTK. Because:

Prologue with Smeagol/Gollum
Frodo totally possesed by the Ring (Elijah performance and make up, it's so disturbing the burned flesh by the chain)
Grima killing Saruman, so tragic
Feast of Rohan
The Palantir
Gondor
Faramir defending Osgiliath
Minas Morgul
Shelob (and Sam attacking Shelob, in the cinema this was my first tear drop)
Pippin singing to Denethor (or was this one the first? Can't remember the order)
That General Orc, he is so coldblooded, and look so weak, great villain
Grond
Eowyn riding with the Rohirrim
Anduril
The Ride of the Rohirrim (exploted in tears with the speech and the charge)
All of Eomer (love this character, long life to Karl)
The Mumakils
The WitchKing
"I am no man"
Aragorn jumping off the Corsair ship
Legolas killing the Mumakil, so OTT, but being the only OTT moment, I totally enjoy it. And the CGI work is 100% perfect.
Mordor
The fat orc without the nose
Aragorn King, he looks outstanding with the washed hair, the armour and the red cape
The Black Gate
The Mouth of Sauron
All of the Mount of Doom scenes
The bound of The Fellowship (with tattos en everything)
The four hobbits back in the Shire
The big pumpkin
Last words of Frodo to Sam "you can't always be part in two"
"I'm back"
The drawings in the end

Fellowship [In reply to] Can't Post

truest to the story, before the PJ-flation began. Second for me is ROTJ, because of the beacons & the Ride of the Rohirrim, and the ending.

Fellowship [In reply to] Can't Post

Part of me really wants to say TTT or ROTK, but having rewatched all three last fall (after having taken about a four year break from watching them), I think FOTR is by far the most consistent and best constructed, in addition to having plenty of phenomenal highs of its own.
