Happy Leap Day! Can't Post

I mention it here because in Peter Jackson's Middle-earth the Quest of Erebor took place in a leap year as well (Bilbo's eleventy-first birthdate revealed in TH:AUJ-EE as September 22, 3000 (T.A.). 3000 - 60 = 2940). Of course leap day in Shire Reckoning was Overlithe and followed Midyear's Day. After that was 2 Lithe followed by the first day of Afterlithe (July).

Does anyone have any special observance for leap day? Is anyone here a leap day baby?

I think you mean LOTR:FOTR-EE.

Correct! [In reply to] Can't Post

My mistake, I did mean LotR:FotR-EE.

Tricksy pirates and a paradox. [In reply to] Can't Post

Recently I decided to address my ignorance of the works of Gilbert and Sullivan and bought a "Recorded Collection of the Works of" I found in a second hand shop. By a remarkable coincidence I was listening to The Pirates of Penzance yesterday (Feb 29 in New Zealand). Those of you raised on these wonderful tunes will immediately know what I heard. For others of us more familiar with Lerner & Loewe and Rodgers & Hammerstein, here are two YouTube selections, one without subtitles and one with. Enjoy!

Ah ah ha ha ha ha ha ha! A paradox! Laugh

General Rule... [In reply to] Can't Post

Always be very careful of the wording of wishes and contracts!
