Tolkien Swifties (Word Game)

I recently found out about "Tom Swiftly's", a punning word game.
To play, you make up something that a character says, then describe how they said it in a way that introduces a pun on what was said (Hopefully it's clear enough from my examples below, but if not, some background and examples here: http://www.fun-with-words.com/tom_swifties.html).
I wondered whether we could do this with a Tolkien theme?
Sure we can:
"That won't fit a dwarf!" said Gimli shortly.
"That's the last time I show jewellery to a wolf" said Beren, offhandedly.
"I shot it." said Legolas with a bow.
"Can I go on another adventure?" Bilbo requested.
"But they could have FLOWN the Ring to Mordor!" said the Tolkien geek eagerly.
"Hey that's my skin!" Treebeard barked.
     
And if that's not bad enough already, I'm sure you can come up with more....

I wish I could think of some, but all I can come up with is this:
Standing next to Beorn, Gloin was dwarfed (..but it kinda breaks the rules since no one actually says anything!)
Hmm...if you can say "heavy-handedly" can you say "iron-footedly"?

...because veal is the meat from calves, and so "Tom revealed" is the required pun on something within the quotations.
You could have for example:
"You must take the horses" Tom nagged. (Nagged--> nags for horses)
Or
"You must ride on the ponies: you cannot ride on sheep" said Tom hoarsely (pun on horse)
I'm not sure whether the next one counts, because it isn't in the classical form "[x]" said [the character] [adjective that pubs on x] :
They asked Beorn whether he could speak pony, but he said "nay".
Sorry if my explanation of the 'rules' was unclear!
This one isn't a Swiftly, but does make me laugh:
"You wouldn't send a knight out on a dog like this!" - Sir Merry Brandybuck, knight of Rohan, when offered a Labrador instead of a pony.
