Hi, fellow TORn walkers! How are your journeys going this week?
My progress:
Miles covered this week: 21
Cumulative miles: 795
Goal: Rivendell to Lothlorien
We've left the snow behind on our journey south to Moria. Gandalf's uneasy, and we've seen crebain again.
In the real world, I'm mostly over my cold and my mileage is ootching back up. I'm getting my motivation back - not only do I want to get through Moria as quickly as possible, I want to take advantage of the lovely Fall weather we're having here in Northern Colorado while I can!

It was a decent week for me, especially considering that I was sickly for most of it.
My progress:

Cumulative miles: 1577
Goal: Rauros to Mt. Doom
In Middle-earth, I've now turned east and am approaching the Morgul Vale. *gulp*

Hi, everyone - how are your walks going?
I got snowed with computer work, so my miles are down this week. I'm especially grumpy about it because our weather here in Northern Colorado has been gorgeous - it's totally out-of-character for our state to get three weeks in a row of mild Fall weather!
My progress:
Miles covered this week: 16
Cumulative miles: 811
Goal: Rivendell to Lothlorien
We've survived the warg attack and are getting close to the Sirannon. Gandalf has been getting grumpier the closer we've gotten to Moria and everyone's on edge after the fight. I suppose it's a counterpoint to the lovely weather we're getting here.

Hey, Arandiel!
My numbers keep dropping. With it dark by 6:30, it's no wonder. This is probably my least favourite thing about autumn/winter -- these awfully long evenings that force you indoors, i.e. in front of the computer for hours. Argh.
My progress:
Miles covered this past two weeks: 66
Cumulative miles: 1643
Goal: Rauros to Mt. Doom
In Middle-earth, I'm past the Tower of Cirith Ungol and in Mordor now. To quote Sam, "We did it, Mr. Frodo!"

Our day-length swing isn't as extreme as yours (we're much further south), but it's 7 pm as I type and full-night dark. We'll get a bit of a reprieve when daylight savings time ends in a couple weeks, but it won't help much.
So I hope you find active ways to cope (dancing? competitive indoor jumping-jacks?), especially if they help you get Frodo and Sam out of Mordor.

I'm holding my own, mileage-wise. As BlackFox noted in her post, it's not as easy when the days get shorter.
Oh, good grief - I just looked up my mileage on the Eowyn Challenge site and discovered I've been calculating my locations wrong, most of the way from Rivendell. It turns out I'm in Moria, and have been for almost two weeks now - we just left the guardroom, in fact. That's what I get for transposing an 8 and a 5. Sheesh!
