What many people hope to see in the E.E. Can't Post

Smaug being killed by a lady Elf
A 6th army
Sauron dancing
Frodo eaten alive by a fire snake
Mount Doom with flowers
The Dwarfs meeting Cinderella
The Eagles landing on the moon
Baman vs Legolas
Sam at a pedicure
The Strider from the North coming from the West
Lord Elrond at a barberstore
Gandalf the Pink

and more seriously... People who are happy with the movies as they were made.

We are glad that we have been able to see them all.

Are you making fun of someone? [In reply to] Can't Post

Or are you suggesting perhaps that everyone should appreciate the movies exactly as they are and bury any emotional investment in the EE? Your list is funny, in and of itself, but maybe you would be kind enough to be clear about what you are trying to say in your post!

Haha, love your list, but we mustn't forget the missing Thorin scenes... [In reply to] Can't Post

Thorin washing his hair
Thorin drying his hair
Thorin combing his hair
Thorin braiding his hair
Thorin finding just the right spot on the balcony of Erebor to let the evening breeze waft gently through his hair
Thorin charging into battle with his hair billowing majestically behind him...

OK, OK, we've already seen those last two, but I still want to see the others.

And then there's the missing scene where Thorin finds Grandpa Thror's closet and starts trying on his clothes but first he has to get cleaned up with a long, hot bath... (hence the "R" rating)......hmmm....

Of course, you are free to speak your mind [In reply to] Can't Post

But no, that is not what we expect from the EE.

"Is it not a strange fate that we should suffer so much fear and doubt for so small a thing? So small a thing! And I have seen it only for an instant in the house of Elrond! Could I not have a sight of it again?"

The Eagles have landed - LOLs [In reply to] Can't Post

I think I'd rather see Bolg killed by a lady Elf before he has a chance to kill a certain Dwarf - would that be too much to ask?
Or how 'bout Smaug having a conversation with the Great Red Dragon - seriously, one of these days SOMEBODY's going to do that mashup!

Here is my mournful haiku about itCool:

I see Thorin's hair
My brain fails, I hit the floor.
Longing does not end.

What's your logical conclusion then [In reply to] Can't Post

In speculating why a director would take the time to make an EE?

All of them but the eagles landing on the moon. I think that was a typo. It was supposed to say "Mars."

Now that would make sense, they did just discover water there, so I can see why PJ would have thought to add that in.
