A WORD QUIZ
Can't Post
All the fun quizzes and such for the Sept. 22 Birthday Boys got me going – again! Here are 10 hints. Each, when figured out, brings up a Tolkien person, place, or thing. Some pronunciations may be contentious (aren't they always!). (I speak ‘American’ English. ) To add to your frustration I occasionally have omitted an article or conjunction, or rarely the Tolkien word or syllable may be a sounds-like. How many Tolkien word(s) can you get? Good luck. (Answers, if needed, in a couple days.) 1. Shatner ** Boyfriend 2. Gam ** Leave ** Young girl 3. Gin w/ an onion ** Not windward 4. To-and- ** Rising yeast 5. Explode a pickle 6. Whatchamacallit ** Heavy metal 7. Relation ** Contention 8. Sandhill ** Ironfoot 9. Tooth ** Trombone 10. Either - ** Lyric poem ** Wreck
