A Home Party Gone Bad [In reply to] Can't Post

... or What Happened when Bilbo left Frodo alone.

"I am afraid it is only too likely to be true what you say about the critics and the public. I am dreading the publication for it will be impossible not to mind what is said. I have exposed my heart to be shot at." J.R.R. Tolkien

We all have our hearts and minds one way or another invested in these books and movies. So we all mind and should show the necessary respect.

"Nobody puts Samwise in a corner." / [In reply to] Can't Post

******************************************
That hobbit has a pleasant face,
His private life is a disgrace.
I really could not tell to you,
The awful things that hobbits do.
Things that your paper never prints
They only speak of them in hints.
They have such lost, degraded souls,
No wonder they inhabit holes;
When such depravity is found,
It only can live underground.
I really dare not name to you,
The awful things that hobbits do.

Sauron: "Mine's better."

I must rephrase [In reply to] Can't Post

for those whose primary language is not English and are not aware of my double entendre.

My caption should have been:

“Oh Sam, just ask Rosie. I know you kinda Cotton to her.”

Having now clarified and entered my caption twice;
"Accordingly, I shall not seek, and I will not accept, the nomination of my party for another term as your winning Captioneer." Cool

Er . . . I mean . . . Having entered basically the same caption twice, in all fairness, should I win (ha) Shocked, I do hereby disqualify myself from this, the 69th (that's LXIX to those not familiar with Arabic Numerals Wink) Captioning Contest.

I thank’ee . . . Sly

I'm useless at decisions - and you're all too good at this!

I wish I could make it a three-way tie, but as I suspect you'd all throw turnips, my congratulations and the job of choosing the next round goes to.....
