Should I start LotR Online?

Can't Post

I was thinking about giving LotR Online a go, but not sure how big the community is and I tried back when it first became free and I had no idea where to start so I gave up after a few days. I was wondering if anyone here plays it and could give advice on how to get the best out of the game and whether it's worth joining so late?

I don't play very often anymore....time is the main factor.....I would definitely say join up. Play away!

Yes I highly recommend playing lotro. It is one of the best Middle Earth experiences to be found in gaming. I played up until level 35 or so. It didn't get boring exactly, but it got to the point where I had to pay real money to advance in the game. But it is still a fantastic experience. I'm not sure how many people still play. I played about a year ago and there were still plenty of people then. The game is certainly worth checking out, and it's free (for the first 30 levels at least).

If you enjoy the more personalized experience of tabletop RPGs then you might try to seek out an on-line group playing The One Ring Roleplaying Game or even the older Middle-earth Role Playing (MERP) game.
