Further to Nomad's serious TORn nostalgia - join the global wave! Can't Post

I have saved on my computer from 2004 (it might have happened earlier but that's when I saved it) a 'Global Wave' from TORn. Let's see if it will post in it's entirety... ooh, it did! L Ron Halfelven's response is as witty as ever... Maybe we could start another wave, for fun and greetings?

Waves from sunny/overcast/rainy/thunderstormy/clearing New Brunswick, Canada! [In reply to] Can't Post

It's been one of those days. Don't like the weather? Wait 5 minutes, it will change.

BTW isn't "sunny Seattle" an oxymoron? Cool

Boromir looked in surprise at Bilbo, but the laughter died on his lips when he saw that all the others regarded the old hobbit with grave respect. Only Glóin smiled, but his smile came from old memories.

Waving from a soggy, grey Wirral, where it's 14C. It's Lammas - doesn't feel like it though! Maybe the sun will break through later. We really don't have climate here, we have weather.

*waves from my daughter's swim lesson in Northern New Jersey* [In reply to] Can't Post

It's sunny, just a few clouds. Not too hot, but the day is young.

My 8 yr old Ruxendilla Thoorgette pretty much knows how to swim already, and is trying to master the butterfly. We consider this her final session.

Eru Ilúvatar lived in a timeless state,
Then he created the Ainur to sing his magnum opus. Wait….
The one who had most power,
Melkor, sang his section sour,
Ilúvatar got rather dour,
He sang Eä! (he let the Ainur in).
Melkor, in jealousy, he sought to mar the symphony
That all started with the first word. (BANG!)

*waves* from the Mile-high City - Denver, Colorado [In reply to] Can't Post

Awesome idea GH. Thanks for finding and posting that old thread. Smile

Denver (or most of it) is one mile above sea level...

You can even stand exactly one mile above sea level on the steps of our state capitol building

Of course, nowadays that's not the only reason people call it the mile 'high' city Crazy

But even without being under the influence, you can still see some pretty spectacular sunsets (from our house)

And some pretty cute cats (how did that get in here? Laugh)

*waves from southern Finland, northern Europe* [In reply to] Can't Post

We have had mostly cool, rainy summer - but everything grows well: flowers, weeds and flowering weeds, or in this case wild flowers.

This is a great idea! But I wonder if the thread title revealed the "Global wave" idea of the thread - more people would know to come and wave? Smile

Would it be possible, as an admin, to add 'Global Wave' [In reply to] Can't Post

in the thread title? Or start another thread for it? Someone has pointed out that more people might join in if the wave was in the title. I mentioned it as an afterthought, I should have put it in a different thread, sorry.
