Patty really is the Female Village Elder! [In reply to] Can't Post

that's fascinating.

And evokes many memories.

I am a dreamer of words, of written words. I think I am reading; a word stops me. I leave the page. The syllables of the words begin to move around … The words take on other meanings as if they had the right to be young.

*wistfully* Frodo Gardner... yes, that was the name [In reply to] Can't Post

Wow, Nomad, I visit this board for the first time in - hmm, it's been so long, it must be years - and I feel as though I've walked back in time. Those days of being totally off topic much of the time on the main board were not sustainable once our community grew, but they were so much fun while they lasted. Thanks for the very good memories you evoked by sharing this page.

Wot larks! [In reply to] Can't Post

I joined early in 2002 I think, so am not there. Goeth-Helm is though; in the early days, people would sometimes shorten my board name to GH, sparking a 'Highlander'esque 'There can be only one!' response. Great fun.

I have vague recollections of that... [In reply to] Can't Post

Haven't seen Goeth for a few years it seems like. He used to have quite the hilarious comedy page but alas it vanished when geocities packed it in. I still have the inoperative link in my favorites archive folder.
