The tale of Gondolin. Can't Post

I'm intrigued by this book:

http://www.tolkienlibrary.com/reviews/taleofgondolin.htm

"It is a book compiled from the writings (Unfinished Tales, The Silmarillion, The Book of Lost Tales II) of J.R.R. Tolkien, assembled and revised by author Alexander Lewis, illuminated and illustrated by Ruth Lacon."

Has anyone read it? How well has Lewis adapted the Lost Tales' text to match the other sources?

In a hole in the ground there lived a hobbit...
