Yes [In reply to] Can't Post

It was a good scene. I only wish there were more "quiet moments" like it throughout the trilogy! I'm thinking of stuff like the acorn scene as well.

Not my favorite, but [In reply to] Can't Post

in some ways I like it. It's probably a good "catch your breath" moment after the tragic death scenes of our beloved Durins (#hatethefreakinending). Martin did look believably shellshocked, as a hobbit who'd lived a comfortable life and never seen anything like this, much less up close and personal, would have. Gandalf, being however old he is, had already lived through several savage battles (I assume), so his quietly trying to comfort Bilbo was, well, a little off for me but clearly lots of other people liked it.

Thank you dormouse... [In reply to] Can't Post

People find fault with
PJ's
Productions...but..

HERE
bomby would defy anyone to
Find Fault with this, Acting, Direction, Camera work, etc.

You can see that each
Principle
Player..
Martin, Ian &, PJ really worked hard to
Please their audience.

In the Long run, we will look back & see the
Perfection in much of what was
Played out on our screens.

PLUS we get MORE SOON!!!

I loved that scene [In reply to] Can't Post

I thought it was just beautifully done and a spot-on depiction of the real friendship between Bilbo and Gandalf that would continue for the rest of Bilbo's life.

Silence.... [In reply to] Can't Post

Bilbo is practically catatonic. Martin does this sooooo well...my heart just breaks for him.

I loved it also, Bomby [In reply to] Can't Post

I think it's a mark of a great actor when they can portray so much without words.

Both Martin and Ian nailed that scene.
