Red Book of Westmarch - Extended Edition scene Can't Post

I hope there's a scene on EE of TBOTFA where we can see Bilbo starting his book - Redbook of Westmarch.

I think this scene probaly will be showed at the end of the movie.

How aaaaaaaaaaaaaare you all???

Wasn't the Red Book a copy? [In reply to] Can't Post

I believe that the Red Book of Westmarch was a copy of the collected writings of Bilbo and Frodo (and Sam!), not the original. But, if film-terms, haven't we already seen Bilbo begin his memoirs?

We've already seen Bilbo start the book three times... [In reply to] Can't Post

First it opens: "It began long ago, in a land far away to the east..."

Then it's: "It began as you might expect. In a hole in the ground..."

Third time: "Concerning Hobbits..."

How many more times do we need to see him starting the book?!

The only thing we haven't seen is Frodo start writing the book. I was hoping AUJ's prologue would be set after RotK, where we see Frodo begin writing: "When Mr. Bilbo Baggins of Bag End announced that he would shortly be celebrating his eleventy first birthday..." He then pauses and looks through his notes. He flicks to the start of the book "Concerning Hobbits" skips forward and reads "In a hole in the ground..." and we transition to Freeman.

That would have shown us all the stages of the book. It also would have given us a bookend that we don't come out of until RotK where we see Frodo finally finishing the book. I think it would have added emotional emphasis to the moment when he finishes and closes the book, as it would feel like the conclusion of the bookend, set up six films ago. It also would have helped break up all the fake endings in RotK.
