What statue will the EE have?

Each statue represents the big set-piece moment of each movie AUJ - Gollum and Bilbo DoS - Barrels So what's the big moment for BoFA? What statue do you think/hope we'll get? Bilbo, Thranduil, Gandalf and Bard with the Arkenstone would be a cool one, but maybe too ambitious? Thorin and Azog? Legolas and Bolg? Any ideas?

Thorin vs. Azog. It's the right combination of important to the story and lending itself to a compact presentation in a reasonable-sized statue. Though I could see Bard and Bain in the tower as another possible option, it was a very memorable and touching moment, and did set the stage for the rest of the film's events.

I really believe Thorins last stand when Azog stabs him is perfect for a statue
Azog and Bolg. That is all I can say.............

Thorin and Azog fighting on the ice (though not any stabbing, 'moment of death' scene).

Silently after the Thorin, Fili, & Kili have died ? That has to be Ol' Bombyzz favorite moment on screen. SILENT but Deadly Acting..

..their last scene. I'd have a statue of Azog. Don't mind watching him in context, but if it's a statue, I'd prefer characters I like!

Specifically the book "Guards! Guards" and thinking of the wee swamp dragon Errol eating tea kettles and such, and no-one thought he could get airborne..... I'm sorry, I am evil, the minute I read "flamethrower" + Legolas the thought just popped into my head and you wouldn't need a bat. Anyway, I'd do for a figure like that....especially if comes with an included hanging loop and xtra-brite LED lights - blue ones, to make Legolas' eyes glow.

Now that would be rad! Have him wearing a t-shirt that says, "Kingsfoil's for Sissies!" and I'm sold!!

The idea of a light sabre-thing, complete with the 'zinging' noise, had occurred to me. It would, however, need to be a light sabre-thing Legolas could use to throw death rays, not merely employ as a sword, given his upside-down position in mid-air. I agree that flashing zombie eyes would complete the statue nicely. (The statue would presumably be battery operated.) I haven't read anything by Terry Pratchett, to my chagrin…

I think the whole heroic struggle between Thorin and Azog was brilliantly portrayed, and a figurine could include the ball and chain thing Azog used… My one reservation about having figures of characters I like is that the model makers never get the faces right.
I'd rather not have one of Azog!

I haven't read anything by Terry Pratchett, to my chagrin… *Grins* - given my reference, perhaps it is for the best, but maybe one day you will explore TP's Discworld (Terry Pratchett, as one critic commented, is the "funniest, kindest teacher" I have ever had, and I am hopelessly under his influence, God rest him....) agree that flashing zombie eyes would complete the statue nicely. (The statue would presumably be battery operated.) BUT Legolas DOES save my favorite in one of IMO the more enjoyable and clever scenes. And of course, I am rooting for a glorious figure of Thorin as sculpted by WETA's Gary Hunt - who seems unlike many to be able to capture a striking likeness in miniature - I was blown away by the recent Faramir figure, and love the collector WETA barrels figure that came with the DOS set.

Or Thorin in his armour, either on his throne or with the raven. Or what about Thorin handing Bilbo the mithril shirt. Not likely, but I'd want it!

I can only dream - wouldn't be surprised if it were Bard on the tower tho - but then they would definitely need a Smaug, too, IMO
