Being a GEEK Here is an Honor...even if you are jus' a TolkienGeek.. How did he do? Based on just his "Guest Appearances" in the supporting Cast 1. Sylvester McCoy as Radagast ( A Doctor WHO?) 2. Barry Humphies as the Great Goblin. (Dame Edna) 3. Micheal Pershtatt (Beorn) to add a Nordic Film Legend to the Tolkien references. 4. Stephen Frye (The Master of Laketown) Smaller Roles 1. Jack Black in Bree 2. Steven Colbert in Laketown. 3. Orlando Bloom's Mother in Laketown 4. Katie & Billy Jackson.. etc.. Ian McKellen said it was a "Home Movie"..YUP of the Best Kind. & DON'T.. forget? he knows us here @ TheOneRing.net

auditioned for a role in The Hobbit! I don't remember his name as of now, but you'd probably know him.

One of the Doctors (Sylvester McCoy) actually was in the films as Radagast. But do you mean one of the more recent Doctors? Perhaps David Tennant?

David Tennent, the tenth Doctor, auditioned for Thranduil. As much as I love him, I'm so glad he didn't get the role. Lee Pace was perfect.
