There are too many [In reply to] Can't Post

… for me to choose. I think everything that Richard Armitage did for these films is superb, and he is THE major draw to this film for me. I think he is a brilliant actor (having seen him in several things), and I admire his dedication to the job. It couldn't have been easy…

Very hard to choose... [In reply to] Can't Post

AUJ - In Bag End
DOS - When he faces Thranduil
BOFA - The scene on the ramparts when he discovers Bilbo's betrayal.

For me Richard Armitage and Martin Freeman are the best thing that happened to this trilogy.

There's more than one [In reply to] Can't Post

In AUJ I always go back to the scene where he's standing on the rock, making sure they all get to safety. Then of course there's his "Loyalty, honor, a willing heart" scene, and his rousing speech to "take back Erebor!" And the singingEvilHeartHeartHeart

In DOS, well the showdown between Thorin and Thranduil - probably my favorite scene in ALL the movies! His confrontation with Bard in Laketown was also good, and then yes, the threatening Bilbo with the sword.

BOTFA, hm, probably like the ice fight with Azog best. His scenes with Bilbo were all terrific, the acorn scene, the "betrayal" scene, and the death sceneUnsure There's just no way I can pick just one.

All of them! [In reply to] Can't Post

As others have said, his performance in all of his scenes was spectacular. But if you force me to choose one (ok, two) from each movie, I'll go with:

AUJ: Misty Mountains song (honorable mention: Battle of Azanulbizar)
DOS: entering Erebor (honorable mention: Thorin vs. Thranduil)
BOFA: acorn scene (honorable mention: the golden floor)

Not easy to decide [In reply to] Can't Post

He was great in all movies, certainly one of the best actors for younger Thorin. That is why I will not pick specific scenes.
