is in custody in Michigan. http://abcnews.go.com/...rd/story?id=31429767 Perhaps we can all chip in and get the poor thing out of the slammer for you. I know we have some TORn-folk who live out that direction (Gramma, maybe Smaug can help with the transport back to Australia?). If you don't want it back, though, I'm happy to adopt him/her myself.

I love how the guy decides to approach it with an animal control stick... oh yeah, that'll work. My friend has the same stuffed tiger... yep, it's quite realistic. I played with a four month old Siberian tiger once (volunteering with a wildlife rehabber who also had various menagerie permits). At that age it's kind of puppy/kitten, maybe 60 pounds, wraps his jaws around my ample thigh, paddy paws the size of the Hulk's hands... Sure, I wanna play with a full grown one... A workmate grew up in Pokhara Nepal. One day he and his buddies were walking home, and a tiger crossed the road in front of them... A bunch of very wide eyed, frozen in fear little boys... The same wildlife rehabber had a row of cages, which I assumed all contained river otters.. until I turned around and found myself standing right next to a full grown African lioness. Yeah, there was a bit of cage wire between us but I had an instinctive gut reaction... HOLY$&*%^#^#$PREDATOR THE SIZE OF A PONY!!!! I can only imagine what it'd be like to have a tiger pass in front of you with no cage between. Which one of us is the slowest...
Na 'Aear, na 'Aear! Mýl 'lain nallol, I sûl ribiel a i falf 'loss reviol... To the sea, to the sea, the white gulls are crying, the wind is blowing and the white foam is flying... JARVIS is my copilot, and it's bigger on the inside...

You do know how to cause a scene, don't you! Many happy returns of the day, Kel, and I hope your family treated you like a queen!

a chain link fenced concrete yard in a rather chilly (although gorgeous) northern state is an interesting choice. Likely to avoid discovery, I imagine (if only it had worked!). Next time I hope you can make it to Gramma's house before you are discovered.

They did. Sadly I couldn't celebrate too much though, as my adorable sons shared their flu with me, so my birthday dinner is on hold until I'm better, along with a very nice bottle of champagne They made up for it by spoiling me with gifts and looking after the house so I could rest (and eldest son proudly gave me his, as he bought it himself from his own money, he's got a part-time job at our local Kmart, so proud of him!) *hugs ya* Kel x

bought it himself... maybe some of that Asgardian liqueur that Stan Lee so brilliantly deomnstrated the effects of in Avengers: AOU would drive out the wee nasty flu bugs... Carry on!

I think I know that tiger! Hey, Hobbes! Is that you? (We miss ya, Bill Watterson! Come back with something--even if it's not more C&H!)

I just wish it wasn't so. But he's gotta do what works for him. Thank goodness we have what we have! (Time to start hinting to family for Christmas presents. Or random presents.) So you play harp! I always wanted to, but no time with what I was already playing. Such a gorgeous instrument!
