My main duty during these types of situations is keeping tabs on all industrial chemical storage, making sure the stuff doesn't get washed down the street into people's homes, and if all else fails telling people which way and how far to run. This stuff was in a large tank in the large dark basement of a large manufacturing plant that had lost all power. As you no doubt read on the net sodium hydroxide and water do not play well together. But after an initial close call we managed to stabilize the situation and avoid losing the facility. And the neighborhood. And us. And in between the excitement I'm using my van to bring sandbags into flooding areas and take people out. And now I'm off I'm so tired I can't sleep.

thank you notes from these folks? Sounds like you guys prevented a mini-Krakatoa there. God bless, and good luck, and hope you can get some sleep! (I've had that, too--exhaustion preventing the rest it needs. Very odd.)

Especially if I fine them for not maintaining an adequate Spill Prevention, Control, and Countermeasure (SPCC) plan. These guys are probably looking at a five figure amount. Still can't sleep....

Lying in bed, eyes wide open. I think we used all the Sandman's sand in our sandbags.

I feel it may be an enemy agent. Can it see us through our computer cams?

miss that Gal. and her Troll.
