Nomad's err... biennial ummm Riddle of the err day? Can't Post

ok so I've been like an old sleepy Ent over the last few years and I can't make any promises that this will change. The grass grows long at my feet. But as long as I'm awake... here is a riddle.

A Far sighted servant of dispossessed Numenor
A monument to vigilance, I
My sires greater still, mighty kings of the earth
Their hoary heads reach to the sky
When my little lords bid, I cry out to my kin
To one by one, lift up their tongue
When seventh and last joins in, duty fulfilled
Aid cometh from Calenardhon

What is my name?????????

I think [In reply to] Can't Post

I think you are the Beacon of Amon Din, or at least Amon Din if I knew how to make the correct accent over the i.

Happiness: money matters, but less than we think and not in the way that we think. Family is important and so are friends, while envy is toxic -- and so is excessive thinking. Beaches are optional. Trust is not. Neither is gratitude. - The Geography of Bliss by Eric Weiner as summarized by Lily Fairbairn. And a bit of the Hobbit reading thrown in never hurts. - NottaSackville

Hmm, and hello Nomad... Great riddle... [In reply to] Can't Post

I've always wondered if the Halfirien was lit during the War of the Ring.
We do hear of the Red Arrow but not the Beacon.

No one in Rohan at any time mentions anything about the Halifirien being lit. (This would be the dark night hours of March 8/9 as Pippin & Gandalf saw Amon Din, Eilenach, and Nardol alight.)

I thought Mr. Beacon of Amon Din...
might have some Inside Information...

Cheers Smile
