http://www.vox.com/...7/8432733/space-maps These pictures and illustrations help you get your mind around just how enormous our relatively tiny solar system is. The one that really blew me away was the one showing the distance between the earth and the moon. Whoa!
You realize that life goes fast It's hard to make the good things last You realize the sun doesn't go down It's just an illusion caused by the world spinning 'round ~Do You Realize?, The Flaming Lips

Even with these examples it's still impossible for me to really imagine the scale of size and distance in the universe - it's just too much. Do you ever go to the 'Astronomy Picture of the Day" site? Every day a new amazing picture, many of them from the Hubble, and so beautiful: Galaxy cluster: http://apod.nasa.gov/apod/ap150407.html Galaxy cluster with supernova: http://apod.nasa.gov/apod/ap150309.html index: http://apod.nasa.gov/apod/archivepix.html

Perhaps, much like Bilbo and the Dwarves in Mirkwood after encountering the feasting elves, you're missing a dwarf?
Happiness: money matters, but less than we think and not in the way that we think. Family is important and so are friends, while envy is toxic -- and so is excessive thinking. Beaches are optional. Trust is not. Neither is gratitude. - The Geography of Bliss by Eric Weiner as summarized by Lily Fairbairn. And a bit of the Hobbit reading thrown in never hurts. - NottaSackville
