Wow, I really should get my a into g and get myself to Wellington...

Richard Taylor talks about 'The Scale of Our War' at Te Papa

PJ takes you on a tour of the WW1 Exhibit

And my favourite: a very special story about our oldest WW1 survivor.

I would love to see that.... [In reply to] Can't Post

..but for me it's the other side of the world!

I couldn't get the first video to play. The others I managed. The workmanship of the exhibition looks - predictably - amazing. The subject's very close to home too. There are a lot of things going on here to commemorate the centenary of the First World War. I have a new book out on it too - been researching it over 30 years! Shocked

And I love the story of your oldest survivor.

We're doing a concert commemorating both World Wars tonight [In reply to] Can't Post

At the dress rehearsal we invited veterans from the local nursing homes to attend. We had several, including two 90-year-old women, a former WAC and a former SIgnal Corpswoman. The WAC got up and danced in the aisle when we sang "Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy."

People with soul can identify with another person's basic human struggle without either judgment or indifference.

Not that I didn't enjoy the T Rex exhibit immensely. Angelic
