Was Saruman planning to kill himself? Can't Post

https://youtu.be/zFzC-72FlQ4?t=98

I don't understand whenever he gets stabbed that he turns around and falls backwards? Would he have not thought to have maybe throw himself back or something being so close to the edge? I mean it wasn't really the knife that ended it for him, it was the impaling on the spike, as he was still breathing before he fell. It wasn't beyond Gandalf or perhaps Saruman heal should he had thrown himself back.

I'm confused Crazy

I am obsessed with Saruman - aspiring to know every last detail about him.

I like to think of myself as a Saru-scholar.

I think [In reply to] Can't Post

He turned around to confront Grima, but ended up falling off Orthanc. He was probably paralyzed by the knife in his spine, so I doubt there was much he could do as far as moving away. He still probably would have died before anyone could have reached him.

How many Tolkien fans does it take to change a light bulb?

"Change? Oh my god, what do you mean change?! Never, never, never......"
