Just wondering: is it possible to get any evidence of your love/adoration of his father to Christopher Tolkien? I don't think there's any way, but someone on TORn's forums might have some inklings of an idea...=)

You could always try the Tolkien estate website

Happiness: money matters, but less than we think and not in the way that we think. Family is important and so are friends, while envy is toxic -- and so is excessive thinking. Beaches are optional. Trust is not. Neither is gratitude. - The Geography of Bliss by Eric Weiner as summarized by Lily Fairbairn. And a bit of the Hobbit reading thrown in never hurts. - NottaSackville

... letter to the publisher containing a letter to the author with a request to forward it. Takes time but it works

...I do know of some writers who can be contacted through their blogs via email and other social media.

... these days that's true. But I was assuming that probably wouldn't apply to Christopher Tolkien - the route via publisher is tried and trusted (and can sometimes be achieved by email as well as letter. But emails are often overlooked; letters are more likely to be passed on.)

I appreciate all the feedback, but there is rather a flaw in that: I believe that Mr. Tolkien requested that his contact information be withdrawn from all social media. So I guess that it was rather pointless to ask in the first place........=) Sorry!
