The lack of more dwarves are painful. Connection from Kili to Tauriel is like a punch in the face. Fili who?

I thought The Hobbit was a story about a Hobbit who goes on an adventure with THIRTEEN DWARVES. Where are the dwarves? This is really sad to put it nicely.

There are Laketown extras that have more lines than most of the dwarves. This map is looking at the network of connections between characters. The dwarves all have the same connection - they're part of Thorin's company. It would be unnecessary to include them.

My point is ever since BOFTA the Dwarves have been cast aside in both the movie and the promotional material...and it's sad. What's even sadder to me is that people seem to be okay with it. As if it is no big that these delightful characters have been overshadowed by characters who are not only in the book, but are not even Tolkien at all.

There are Laketown extras that have more lines than most of the dwarves. This humors me. My nine year old son and I were watching BOTFA this past weekend and in reference to the Laketown woman who is always getting on to Alfrid he asked if she was in the book. I explained while there were the people of Laketown this one individual woman was not an actual character in the book. To this my son said, "Then why is she so important?"

It does annoy me too. Although the problem is really with the films, not the promo material. But it does rub salt in the wound a little. I think my last point is relevant, though. This map shows connections between characters, so having every dwarf would just take up space to repeat the same info 10 times. Re-reading my post, sorry if it came across as rude, it didn't mean to.

I'm quite fond of her. Does she have a name?

She's similar to what I was hoping Tauriel would be. Not too many lines, but plays a pretty important part and is a strong female and a leader when she needs to be. She's a good inclusion IMO.

Her name is Hilda Bianca. The actress is Sarah Peirse.
Silverlode "The Corsairs of Umbar!" men shouted. "The Corsairs of Umbar! Look! The Corsairs of Umbar are coming! So Belfalas is taken, and the Ethir, and Lebennin is gone. The Cosairs are upon us! It is the last stroke of doom!"
