We loves eggses, we does. We also use a fair amount egg whites in our house. I like poached on toast but they are a bit more work than scrambled, so often I just toss them in the pan. My BFF loves sunnyside up but finds it hard to get them cooked just right when we go out to breakfast. And I read Magpie's list: add deviled.

No Easter Creme Eggs? Too sweet for me, but I would take a Dove Truffle-creme Egg if I could still find any.

Not a fan of scrambled, too messy looking I guess! But I do like a nice omelette.

Scrambled, poached, hard boiled, soft boiled, sunny side up, over easy, fried - yum. I second (or third) Magpie's inclusion of French toast and also, chocolate eggs (although not necessarily at the same time).

told to me about 60 years ago by my grandfather:
As I was walking through a field of wheat I spied something good to eat. It was neither fish, nor flesh, nor blood, nor bone, But I kept it till it walked alone.

Eggs Benedict - with properly lemon-y sauce - are the best! I'm also fond of an egg puff, a/k/a Dutch Baby, either with lemon juice and some powdered sugar on top, or hot jam.

'Cause it's always a bit of a challenge ensuring the white is completely gelled but the yolk is still hot and liquidy. And toast w/jam is an absolute must have! I also like this perpetration because it seems healthier: no butter or oil needed. But I usually make scrambled with some grated cheese thrown in at the last just because it's so fast and easy. I fix them for myself an average of once a week. My egg-obsessed daughter, though, taught herself how to make deviled eggs and will happily down 8 halves at a time! (It's gotten so bad I've had to limit her weekly egg consumption!) Interestingly, in China, where she was born, for breakfast, babies and children were often fed scrambled eggs with green onions and brown sauce. And if that didn't appeal, they would add sugar to it!

... whose young adult son ate tons of eggs, too. When his cholesterol shot up, she just started gifting him with those low cholesterol eggs. But I've just checked and it may be Egg Beaters she's buying him and those won't work for deviled eggs. I thought there might be a brand of eggs in the shell that were lower cholesterol but Eggland's Best is only minimally lower than a regular egg. (They do have other differences from regular eggs, though.) But the current accepted 'facts' on eggs is that they aren't bad for your cholesterol. From the Mayo Clinic:Chicken eggs are high in cholesterol, but the effect of egg consumption on blood cholesterol is minimal when compared with the effect of trans fats and saturated fats. The risk of heart disease may be more closely tied to the foods that accompany the eggs in a traditional American breakfast — such as the sodium in the bacon, sausages and ham, and the saturated fat or oils with trans fats used to fry the eggs and the hash browns. Most healthy people can eat up to seven eggs a week with no increase in their risk of heart disease. Some studies have shown that this level of egg consumption may actually prevent some types of strokes. http://www.mayoclinic.org/...esterol/faq-20058468 Of course, what you eat with your eggs can make a huge difference!

Actually, I love eggs cooked just about any way. And I did suck one out of the shell once just to see what it was like. Not too bad, but I prefer them cooked.

There pretty much isn't a bad way to have eggs. (Except maybe raw...I do have my limits!) I also like Cadbury Creme Eggs and Reese's Peanut Butter Eggs!

I'm allergic so break out in a rather spectacular rash and then have a swollen throat! I try every other year or so to eat them, just a tiny bit, but so far all that happens is I actually sound like Gollum and look like a red lump person!

If you have a food allergy to eggs then in Eru's name stop eating them! Every time you try one you are risking a major episode that could end in anaphylactic shock and death. It hardly seems worth it.

it's bizarre but no need to worry as its done under close supervision, apparently it can help the allergy or to check the severity, I forget which to be honest! The strange things is I actually like the taste! But I'd never intentionally eat them, the after effects are not pleasant!

I find there's no way quicker to make an egg because I can put them up to boil and then get other parts of breakfast ready in the meantime. And it's amazing how they're never cooked the same, no matter that I make them the exact same way every day - same timing, same heat, and yet each one is unique, it seems. It's kind of something to look forward to, a little surprise every morning . And of course, a piece of toast broken up to go along with it. Yum!
