From the Home page..... is anyone in the Santa Monica area planning to go?
I've heard Peter Beagle's version of why the second part of Bakshi's LOTR was never filmed, I'm looking forward to hearing Bakshi's side.

Supposedly (unless this is an urban myth) Bakshi has the raw footage in his possession that would have formed the basis for the second part of his animated adapation of The Lord of the Rings. This is the live-action footage that would have been transferred to animation cels and painted over for the movie (if that is indeed the technique that he used).

That would be an excellent question to bring up if Mr. Bakshi does not address the issue himself! Please provide a full report of the event.
