walking bare-footed was significant...ie. Galadriel, Arwen........all fully clothed ancient statues of Gods and Emperors were made without any foot coverings/ sandals to show strength and superiority over the mortal earth...... trying to remember if Thranduil walked without shoes in BOTFA....... What did Gandalf wear ?
