Today has just been a great day for the Hobbit fandom. [In reply to] Can't Post

Aidan Turner promoting Poldark on the BBC One Show, Luke Evans announced to play Gaston in the upcoming live-action musical remake of Beauty and the Beast, and Sir Ian's Mr. Holmes trailer.

I'm still feeling the pain from the ending of the Middle-earth movies, but on the other hand many of the Tolkien cast are moving on to projects that sound just brilliant and I am so excited!

Watched the trailer more than once. [In reply to] Can't Post

I would watch this movie with my eyes closed just to savor Sir Ian's voice.

Def on my movies-to-see list. Anyone have any idea when it's due to come out?

Interesting [In reply to] Can't Post

I think I'll go see this one, if nothing else because of Ian.

I think... [In reply to] Can't Post

Ian's Facebook post said Summer.

IMDb says June 19th in the UK. I'm not seeing anything for the U.S. yet, but perhaps the distributors are still figuring that out. I notice that it debuted at the Berlin Film Festival, so I'm sure a distributor picked it up there. My guess is that the date is coming soon.
