Another China Box Office Update Can't Post

Amazingly, it passed $120 million today, despite the lack of screens. If it stays in theaters at all through Chinese New Years, it should pass $125 million, I think.

Domestically [In reply to] Can't Post

We're at the point in its release when WB no longer reports estimates for the weekend. Now we wait for the actual grosses late Monday.

Just a heads up for those who might be worried the film got pulled from theaters altogether. Smile

Gotta love the entry for the UAE [In reply to] Can't Post

The $1,606,928 opening weekend in the United Arab Emirates was apparently 10983.8% of the $14,630 total gross.
That is an impressive feat!
All kidding aside, it should certainly make it to $700 million overseas, and I think there is a good chance it will pass DoS worldwide, despite the exchange rate issue.

It's at $950 million [In reply to] Can't Post

…at the moment. It says to 12 February, but that may be an error and it could be up to 15 February.

No, it won't [In reply to] Can't Post

The movie is almost out of cinemas in my city. I read on some source that 18th a.k.a Chinese new year's Eve will be the last screening day.

Unfortunate! [In reply to] Can't Post

It seems like the film has been very popular in your country; it is a shame that it has been taken out of theaters so quickly.
That having been said, it still did fairly well today, and made another million dollars, with the total now up to $121.2 million.

I forget that this is a 4-day weekend for some, so the actual domestic numbers come in tomorrow (Tuesday).
