HE seems to be missing-in-action here. Certainly Stephen Fry NAILED it! once again. POMPOUS POOF? Preposterous Posturing Strutting around like a Peacock in sorryfull, soiled clothes ...a Costume design that REALLY.... went over the Line..! Everything about him...is a "Comedy of Errors" ...from his Portrait in the Bedroom, which he STILL feels IS... what he looks like to his Scared Subjects A Dictator that is Totally Delusional in his Self Esteem a Clown who thinks he has the World on a String? Probably doesn't own a Mirror? ... since it would PROBABLY SCARE...even Himself..? Dirty Fingernails from counting his Coins... & if YOU Compare where he lives & Bard's small wooden Shack That Contrast is Astonishing... WAS he ever Married?, likely..but he probably poisoned her. Bomby is Once again getting a Littl' Weird, SSOoo Signing off Tonight... you have the Floor witch is where bomby iZZ rolling on...thinking about THE MASTER of that SLUM.. called Laketown.

He was one of the things that made DOS better for me. He offered comedic relief for the audience but not so much for us to be annoyed by him. He also had a point of being in the story along with his comedy so we don't get a sense that the filmmakers just said "Oh, lets just add a guy in here so he can say funny stuff!" It also helps that he is in the book to help ground him into the story as a minor character opposed to having him "floating around" lake town with no purpose.

..on the Fabulous.!.!.! yet often FORGET those Frightfully Fiendish Folks...? ONCE a long time Ago..a Famous USA presidential Candidate {Billionaire H. Ross Perot} ... said something about some people have "A Crazy Aunt in the Basement..that no one wants to Talk about" Think about THAT Statement...for a while... ............ ........... ... .... ? The Master's Rule Ruined Laketown even more...with wrong thinking. A MOST unexpected Tangent? in Exploring MiddleEARTH politics That fleshed out Brilliantly just... HOW "Medieval"... everyone's Thinking was, 7,000 years ago. In some ways a SATIRE/Comment on Today's Politics too.. A Dictator with many Huge guards pushing little old ladies down...WHAT? There is More to this... than what appears on the Surface &, & ,&... Quite Cool for PJ to add this WILD Angle into... his Fantasy movie. These movies have been about a World's POLITICS a lot of the time. YET? some people refuse to see it..

More often thanNot, it really does comes down to PROPERTY 1. Our company OWNS the MOST Wealth in MiddleEARTH 2. The Mirkwood Elves OWN the Biggest Forest in MiddleEARTH 3. The ORCS from Mordor are under Sauron's Spell & jus' Mindless Pawns for him. 4. Bolg's Boys from Mount Gundabad are just following their Orders. 5. Gandalf is always concerned with the Geo-Politics, which Saruman thinks is Un-Wise. There is more...but you already know the rest. The Battle of the FIVE Armies MOVIE? has layers & Layer of meaning that Apply to current Geo-politics,TODAY Ain't it Great when PJ PRESENTS problems that apply to our ever-day lives Much like Tolkien did when were KIDS?

The humor is to be sure, a little bit black (the characters are comically hopeless political types after all), so it's abit edgy; but they have really well played scenes with fun lines etc Also, one of DOS ee's many majestic scenes, is the crowd gathering outside the steps of the Master's house in the big public rhetoric/oratory bringing together of the prior plot threads built up in Laketown to that point of movie. To me this is superbly staged & presented cinematically. & it is fun and funny the way the Master enters into the debate after watching him weighing up this rather alarming turn of events, you see he is both offended yet wary about having to keep a lid on things and play to the crowd's point of view, such is the momentum that has created this event, and also the chance to vent at Bard with public approval. As hopeless as the Master and Alfred are personally, we see how wily they are in the political arena. I really dig this whole sequence and to me is really well done original cinema.
