Character popularity on facebook Can't Post

so I take a look at the facebook today, Legolas has 129000+ followers, Thorin 66000+,Bilbo 44000+ ,Thranduil 39000+, Kili 30000+

So Legolas is still the most popular character after so many years? Besides, I have thought Thranduil would have more fans than this...maybe as much as Thorin's.

Don't think this is anything to go by [In reply to] Can't Post

Fan-created Facebook pages is in no way an indication of popularity. As another user stated, these were most likely not created at the same time, with Legolas, being a character who first appeared in the LOTR, had a better advantage of garnering more likes. And again, there are MULTIPLE fan created pages for every character, so it's hard to garner how many likes each receives. I've seen Tauriel pages with 50,000 likes, another with 2,000, another with 12,000, etc.
