Where in the Middle Earth movies would you live? Can't Post

Out of all the locations that we've visited on this six film journey where would you most desire to live and why? I'm leaning towards the Shire but I'd like to be somewhere near the middle of the map so I'd have quicker access to visit various other places. Hmmm...I'll sleep on it and vote tomorrow. WHAT SAY YOU?

Rohan! [In reply to] Can't Post

I'm totally biased towards everything Rohan. So of course I'd want to live there.

Minas Tirith [In reply to] Can't Post

I voted Minas Tirith, but I can't decide. Maybe I'd be a wanderer as I love a good journey and there is so many places I would want to see and live Sly

Probably for all of the same reasons that Bilbo likes it.

Tough choice [In reply to] Can't Post

Very difficult for me to choose between the Shire and Rivendell (chose the former, in the end). Although, you never said I couldn't take extended walking holidays. Smile

Erebor (pre-Smaug)... [In reply to] Can't Post

not really a surprise, but I would love to live in Erebor during its heydey, and not just because of Thorin (even if it is the main factor), but because its so fast that it would take you a lifetime to explore all its nooks and crannies. Even RA stated somewhere that he would love to expand the prologue sequence in AUJ, since if he wants to stick to canon (though I won't, although the attack on Erebor still happens in my back story), it's the only way he can play the character again (of all the characters he's played, I still prefer Thorin, perhaps because the Hobbit movies are what turned me into a fan in the first place).Smile

Rivendell. [In reply to] Can't Post

I love the Shire, I love Rohan, and I love Gondor, but the unearthly beauty of Rivendell attracts me the most. I'd probably travel around a lot though.

of course! [In reply to] Can't Post

That's why I was thinking of picking somewhere closer to the middle of the map. Easier to visit a lot of other places but in my heart I'm still in love with the Shire. I'll just get a fast horse to travel around. As a permanent though I have to go with the Shire. It's gorgeous and I like the way they party over there. Green Dragon for one anybody?

Rivendell! [In reply to] Can't Post

I would have chosen the Shire, but Rivendell is just so breathtaking in the films! *_* Although, if Lorien in the films was like Lorien in the books, that would have been my first choice! Alas...I didn't feel the movies quite captured the beauty that Tolkien described there! (Though of course it didn't make me enjoy the films any less!)

Had to go with Rivendell as it seemed overall to be serene and lovely. Also the location in the hidden valley can't be beat.
Love Hobbiton but only if I'm living at Bag End.

Beorns house [In reply to] Can't Post

If I don't have to be locked up inside the house at all times. The surroundings are nice and versatile as well. Next in my top 3 would be Rohan and Shire.

Anywhere along Anduin river would be neat as well.
