If The Lord of the Rings had a Scooby Doo ending, who would Sauron really be? Can't Post

There are some great comments on this Reddit thread, but I like the idea that Sauron is actually Merry sitting in Pippin's shoulders. :D

http://www.reddit.com/...a_scooby_doo_ending/ (Language warning.)

Celebrimbor: "Pretty rings..."
Dwarves: "Pretty rings..."
Men: "Pretty rings..."
Sauron: "Mine's better."

"Ah, how ironic, the addictive qualities of Sauron’s master weapon led to its own destruction. Which just goes to show, kids - if you want two small and noble souls to succeed on a mission of dire importance... send an evil-minded beggar with them too." - Gandalf's Diaries, final par, by Ufthak.

Boromir!!! [In reply to] Can't Post

He's the only one in the Fellowship to try to take the ring, and he conveniently disappears before anything like open war begins... Sounds fishy to me...

Call me Rem, and remember, not all who ramble are lost...Uh...where was I?

Clearly it's Old Man Gaffer [In reply to] Can't Post

He's old, he's a bit grumpy, and he does the odd jobs around the place.

First of all, hilarious! :D [In reply to] Can't Post

Secondly, it's obviously Gandalf the Grey. Tongue It's always the one who tells the gang about the ghost or ghoul and who warns them of the great danger they are in who turns out to be the one "who done it".

Gandalf the Grey deliberately fell with the Balrog in order to get away from the Fellowship and make his way to Mordor. Gandalf the White was his doppelganger sent to throw everyone off the scent. Unfortunately for Gandalf the Grey, Gandalf the White had a mind of his own. Wink

Think about it, didn't Gandalf the Grey seem a little too comfortable using Black Speech in Rivendell? LaughTongue

Barliman Butterbur [In reply to] Can't Post

"I was planning to tear down the Shire and build some nice, cozy, over-priced condos. And I would have gotten away with it too if it hadn't been for those meddling hobbits!"

******************************************
The audacious proposal stirred his heart. And the stirring became a song, and it mingled with the songs of Gil-galad and Celebrian, and with those of Feanor and Fingon. The song-weaving created a larger song, and then another, until suddenly it was as if a long forgotten memory woke and for one breathtaking moment the Music of the Ainur revealed itself in all glory. He opened his lips to sing and share this song. Then he realized that the others would not understand. Not even Mithrandir given his current state of mind. So he smiled and simply said "A diversion.”

That's the only answer that makes sense. No one can figure out who or what he is, and all that singing and dancing was just a smoke screen. Cool

We pull off the mask and its....GRAMMA!!!!!!!!!!! [In reply to] Can't Post

"Oh dear me,' said Gramma. "I just wanted these movies to happen so badly I figured dressing up would really inspire them to get made." Sigh. "And I would have gotten away with it, if it wasn't for you clever meddling kids. And your dog." Gramma petted Scooby.

"We wants these films made too," say Fred, Velma and Daphne at once. "But we just had to solve the mystery." Velma added, "Plus you kinda trashed Middle-earth. Big time."

But just then, the Sherriff takes off HIS mask...and zoinks! it is Sir Peter Jackson! "All that damage and Orc mischief is just CGI! There is no crime! Gramma can go free!"

Then they all went happily to the Malt Shop to get anchovy-chocolate sauce pizzas and malts, to the groovy tune of "Seven Days a Week"... the coolest Scooby chase song of them all.

They even got their food for free, since Gramma kept her costume on and scared the bejeebers out of the waitress.

Fersher! [In reply to] Can't Post

We used left-over paint we found... so we brush-painted the top dark blue, the sides were lime green with a black stripe, the wheels were pink at one time, and we eventually had to paint the front dark green. Of course, the police never noticed us ;)

We lived in that truck for about a year with a 1 (growing to 2) year old baby... driving all over the country in it. She's 44 now!

This was the period of time I discovered The Lord of the Rings... my lifeline!!!!
