If youve never seen this before in the film, its quite subtle but funny, a nod to the famous storm trooper headbang at 1.05 in this clip , thorin bangs his head in bag end. they even added a sound effect, enjoy! http://youtu.be/6XbCAX65Aio

Never noticed that before. I love how Thorin thinks he's the man, making fun of Bilbo in his own house and sauntering into the living room. Then he just smacks his head. How embarrassing. "No one saw that. Right. Right? He's a grocer, am I right?".

I'm surprised nobody has really caught it until now....or at least nobody has said anything about it. It wasn't a very big hit, really, just a bump of the head. Well, RA is somewhere around 6'2" tall! It was probably tricky for him to be in those sets.

He's not even touching the ceiling. That sound is a footstep or something. Close but no cigar.

its clearer on bluray, the sound effect is timed perfectly and is different to the footfalls, its not the ceiling but the beam of the arched hallway opening, and his head suddenly dips as the sound happens. its definitely there!

It's definitely a bit of a bump, apparently not so obvious as to make them take it out of the movie.

I'm sorry, but I just don't see it (or hear it). He ducks his head and misses the door frame.

To oversimplify things, a Naboo fighter pilot flies space vehicles for the good guys and storm troopers are soldiers for the bad guys.

I actually was going to write guard until I looked it up, and just went with the official description. However, I just wanted to clarify that he was on the side of the good guys!
