Silhouettes & Signature Weapons? Can't Post

From an Artist's point of View
havin' Unique Silhouettes
MUST have been
Mindblowing for our 20PLUS
Main Characters & a
MOST
difficult
design
decision...

WHOLE Committees worked really Hard
SSOoo.. the Casual Audience
member would
Remember what each looked like.

PERFECT EXAMPLE:

Dwalin's SHADOW FIRST appearing on Bilbo's Front Door?
Blocking OUT Gandalf's Magic Mark...
A,a, a, Silhouette

A Pretty Scary Thing to SEE?..Since it looked Nothing
Like a Hobbit from next DOOR? coming over to borrow
a Cup of SUGAR???

Thorin lookin' like a Buffalo?
Ori lookin' like an Accountant?
Bifur lookin' like an Escapee from a Mental Institution?
OIN&Gloin looking much like "Classic Gimli"?
etc...

Weapons'sss:

Fili, Armed to the Teeth? all over his body..
Kili, the Only
Accomplished Dwarwen
ARCHER?

I do agree [In reply to] Can't Post

The design elements in The Hobbit are pretty spectacular and the unique, individual looks that were crafted for each dwarf are one of my favorite things in the movies. It just made them so real (along with the fabulous acting, of course). Smile

I love all the fantastic details added to each character. Pity it is not all clearly visible in the movies.

“And the ship went out into the High Sea and passed into the West, until at last on a night of rain Frodo smelled a sweet fragrance on the air and heard the sound of singing that came over the water. And then it seemed to him that as in his dream in the house of Bombadil, the grey rain-curtain turned all to silver glass and was rolled back, and he beheld white shores and beyond them a far green country under a swift sunrise.”

Definitely! [In reply to] Can't Post

I love how everyone had their own specialty weapon, much more interesting than everyone fighting the same way! I particularly loved Oin's staff that was so effective in the goblin tunnels. The company as a whole made the movies for me, absolutely.

Indeed! [In reply to] Can't Post

They definitely one-upped Indy, best use of a giant rolling boulder! One of my favorite parts for sure.
