I was looking at a map of my current home town and what did I see but a place called "Orc Meadow"! It's Örkkiniitty in Finnish, where örkki = orc (as used in the Finnish translations of Tolkien's works) and niitty = meadow.
I have yet to investigate if the place was originally a breeding ground for orcs, or if it has been named such because of some ancient battle. Since 'meadow' sounds a bit too sunny an un-cavernous for a breeding ground, I think the latter is the correct explanation.
Have you found Tolkienish place names where you live? I suppose there must be natural or man made places named after dragons, maybe also elves or dwarves etc.?

It was proposed some time ago that the small counties in Central Estonia merge and the new county be called Keskmaa. 'Keskmaa' is Estonian equivalent of 'Middle-earth'.

We've had stores or businesses with Tolkien names.
My big geek thrill for a nearby feature is coincidental, I'm sure.
We have three bodies of water near us named after Song of Hiawatha characters:
Minnehaha Creek
Lake Nokomis
Lake Hiawatha
that's not the geek thrill.
To keep the lake clean, they built Wetland Settling Ponds around Lake Nokomis that capture and filter contaminated runoff water (from streets and treated lawns) before it enters the larger lake which is part of a chain of lakes that leads to the Mississippi River.
The ponds are allowed to grow somewhat naturally and one, in particular, is surrounded by cattails. It all provides great habitat for birds and small mammals and we often walk around these ponds (as well as the two lakes and the creek named above) for enjoyment or birding.
I just, this year, found out these three ponds have names.
Nokomis Knoll (the name of an adjoining neighborhood)
Gateway (at the 'gateway' of the chain of lakes when driving north from the airport)
Amelia (the original name of Lake Nokomis)
Get it?
Amelia Pond.

Thanks for the replies, it's nice to know of other places. :) Not just Tolkien specific but named after fantasy creatures in general.
In case you're interested, I found an article about this Orc Meadow. Someone had become curious about it and looked into why it's named like that. And it's is even better than I thought, because it's not named after Tolkien's works; the name precedes them. The translator of Tolkien's books, Kersti Juva, said that she had thought the word örkki was originally her creation as the Finnish conterpart for 'orc', but apparently the word had existed in Finnish before the book, and the place was not named after the translation but instead it's based on some old, possibly Swedish farm name. (Finland has two official languages, majority speaks Finnish and minority Swedish.) The root word is Swedish örke that can be seen in original documents from the 17th and 18th centuries. And that again has been linked with an old word in some dialect, orko that means/meant 'dale' (!).
The article end with the notion that orcs were present in Finnish dales already in those times when Tolkien's ancestors moved to England from Germany.

I think most people pronounce them "dun-EE'-din" with the accent on the EE, and Walhalla with a "W" instead of a "V",
but of course, I don't.

in the same area as Walhalla Road, which I never knew until I looked at a map just now. Very cool! Next time I drive past Walhalla I think I'll take a little detour and check out our own little corner of 'Midgard'.

in Chicago. Four Farthings has a mural on one of the walls that looks like the Shire. Pippin's Tavern is near a university's downtown campus, so there's a lot of college students. It doesn't have a lot of Tolkien items in it, but it's a nice local bar that Tolkien might like.

but the streets are named things like "Spring Breeze Drive"...so I'm guessing they just heard the name somewhere and thought it sounded cool--no relation to Tolkien. 
(Incidentally, we also have a neighborhood named "Stonehedge" with a picture of Stonehenge on the sign...so yeah. Developers around here are not the most informed folks.)
