LOTR Title Contest Round XXXIII Can't Post

I'm getting to this one right away to make sure I don't forget. Many thanks to Lissuin for selecting my Agent Smith reference in Round XXXIII.

This week we jump back to good 'ole Mr. and Mrs. Proudfoot. What might we learn of their relationship this round? A burning question, over which I've lost countless hours of sleep over the years.

Have at it! Smile

Celebrimbor: "Pretty rings..."
Dwarves: "Pretty rings..."
Men: "Pretty rings..."
Sauron: "Mine's better."

"Ah, how ironic, the addictive qualities of Sauron’s master weapon led to its own destruction. Which just goes to show, kids - if you want two small and noble souls to succeed on a mission of dire importance... send an evil-minded beggar with them too." - Gandalf's Diaries, final par, by Ufthak.

Then Manwė and Yavanna parted for that time, and Yavanna returned to Aulė; and he was in his smithy, pouring molten metal into a mould. 'Eru is bountiful,' she said. 'Now let thy children beware! For there shall walk a power in the forests whose wrath they will arouse at their peril.'

'Nonetheless they will have need of wood,' said Aulė, and he went on with his smith-work.

Mrs. P: " I've only one word for you - ' liposuction '" // [In reply to] Can't Post

From the Blessed Realm sailing, shining Valinor
By the Elder King sent on a burdensome chore.
Fragile he seemed, yet his eye gleamed
As he departed from that Farthest West Shore.

Fair Mithlond received him and Middle-earth was blest.
As mortal he came this brave humble guest.
Cirdan said, "Master, this ring I do bring,
I deem it may aid thee ere end of your quest."

Congrats to SirDennis for providing us with the wonderful image of Mr. Proudfoot clipping the grass above his little hobbit hole. Poor hobbit can't catch a break!

Honorable mentions go to Darkstone, BlackFox and Rem, although of course each of you gave me a big chuckle. Smile
