There will be a trilogy screening at Arlington Cinema and Drafthouse (right outside of Washington, DC) on April 29th. Tickets are only $8!!!! I went last year and it was well worth it! They have costume, trivia and other contests - a great local, low-key place. Email me if you are interested in organizing a MOOT!!! http://www.arlingtondrafthouse.com/?page=lotr forceofhobbit1 (at) yahoo (dot) com

I'd love to go (I was just commenting to my sister yesterday that there never seems to be anything happening in DC), but I don't know if I could make it if it the theater isn't near a metro.
The Road goes ever on and on Down from the door where it began. Now far ahead the Road has gone, And I must follow, if I can, Pursuing it with eager feet, Until it joins some larger way Where many paths and errands meet. And whither then? I cannot say.

...but I'm having some trouble with the evil gods (otherwise known as Mom and Dad) because it's on a Sunday and I have school the next day. If I leave before ROTK I might be able to come though.

It's my dad's birthday and last year I'd already planned a birthday party for his 80th birthday so it was completely out of the question. This year I may be able to swing it but I won't know till the last minute. I'm guessing it doesn't sell out? I'm not sure if my husband's up for another LOTR event and I'm not brave enough to go alone.

but not before the event. If you get there early enough you can probably get tickets. I'd email them to be sure.
