But I totally understand. It's getting very hard to avoid the spoilers. I feel sorry for you having to wait at least a week (or longer) to be able to see BOFA yourselves. I, on the other hand, will shamelessly admit I will be seeing BOFA again this saturday  But even I understand it's not fair for me to have seen it twice whereas you haven't even seen it even once *hugs* But the Thranduil temptation is just too big, I need to see him on the big screen again 
PS. did you see my parting gift for the three of you. New pretty!

I thought Thranduil would get a LOT more fighting screentime. Especially before BOFA we were led to believe he is the most amazing fighter in ME (which he is, he has amazing skills) and they way they talked about it made me think we were going to be in for a treat. But I think we only see one or two swords action scenes (not counting the scene on Bubba). I thought that was rather disappointing

I though he would get much more too! Not only was it the only real fight scene, it was pretty short too. And then to see that even though thranduil is the better fighter, legolas gets much more action scenes  . Really hope we get more of him (in action) in the EE.

and say I too hoped for more Thranduil fight scenes. Though, I'm happy with the amount of screen time he had this time around. :)
And yes, all the talk before lead to believe/assume he would have a TON of fight scenes. Nonetheless, he kicked a$$ in his fight scenes.

Look the clip where Thranduil says to Gandalf that he will not help sending forces to Ravenhill, where Bilbo says he will go. You can see that there are some marks on his left cheekbone that certainly look like injuries. I have not yet seen the movie anyway :'(
