This clip was on Campbell Live tonight. It's a light-hearted look back from a reporter who was there at the beginning, and includes a couple of early snippets of PJ talking about his plans for making the Lord of the Rings films. Hobbit movies enduring legacy.

Even after all these years, I still get chills when I see pictures from our ROTK Oscar Party. I was there, and it was magical.

were in the lower level, the Green Dragon Pub. The main floor was so crowded we could not sit together. We came upstairs before Peter and everyone arrived - what an electric moment! Here's a picture of the TORn folks at the party

What a journey we've been on. Thanks for posting this Starling - I missed Campbell Live last night.
Celebrimbor: "Pretty rings..." Dwarves: "Pretty rings..." Men: "Pretty rings..." Sauron: "Mine's better." "Ah, how ironic, the addictive qualities of Sauron’s master weapon led to its own destruction. Which just goes to show, kids - if you want two small and noble souls to succeed on a mission of dire importance... send an evil-minded beggar with them too." - Gandalf's Diaries, final par, by Ufthak. Those years must have been an amazing, unforgettable time for the people of New Zealand. I loved seeing the early interviews of PJ before it all began. And the Oscar party! Woot! Really enjoyed that, Starling, thanks.
