I think it's from the BotFA preview in the DOS EE Appendices

When TORn analyzed the preview that shot was one of the things that was mentioned and shown. It's not just a random person's TV screen, though. It's one of those screens they keep on the actual movie set (I don't know what the technical name is) that PJ and the other crew members use to watch whatever footage they just filmed or are currently filming.

Btw, until I read it somewhere recently, I hadn't realised that his breast plate was a depiction of a deer [elk?] skull. I didn't know that either, but now that you say it, I can totally see it. It's...actually a little creepy. Yeah, I'm glad they went with the other armor too.

So, how caught up are you now? I think I've seen the majority of the previous TA pretty! now. There certainly was a lot of it! It was much welcomed because I seem to have caught another cold and needed some pretty! to make me feel better. *cough* I love working with my church's first grade Sunday school class, but I sure wish the kids would learn to sneeze into their elbows instead of on me.

But this point in particular bothers me more than the rest:
That's not the only niggle I have with the way the film makers have depicted Thranduil's character. He is of Sindarin origin and he and his father, along with a handful of other Sindarin Elves had come among the Sylvan Elves as they wanted to become Sylvan folk and return to the simple life natural to the Elves before the Valar had disturbed it. They deliberately merged with them, adopting their language etc. It does not say or imply that they still held themselves in any way superior to their adopted people. So the scene where Thranduil states he would not consider his son pledging himself to "a lowly Sylvan Elf" really grates with me. It depicts him as a racist snob when as far as I can see there is no evidence for this at all. Most of the Tauriel-Thranduil-Legolas dynamic has been bothering me... (Related-but-Not: Do you all remember the film-makers telling us that DoS would be all about Fathers and Sons? And not only did we not get the Thranduil-Legolas deleted scenes we wanted from the DoS EE, we instead got a fairly meaningful Thrain-Thorin deleted scene ("Tell my son I love him"). Were the Dwarves the only characters they were talking about when that comment were made?) Why would Thranduil trust Tauriel with the protection of his entire realm, but not with his son's affection? And though she calls herself a "lowly Sylvan elf," she doesn't seem to expect the smack-down that Thranduil delivers. (The only other Sylvan (?) elf to comment on his opinions or state of mind is the Keeper of the Keys, who calls him "Ill-tempered." Something LP seems to agree with, as he calls his character a "grumpy old man.") I wonder if Thranduil is willfully playing on Tauriel's insecurities to get her to do what he wants. She has (apparently) been a faithful and obedient Captain for him. If he can get her to keep Legolas at arms length, he won't have to deal with being replaced by Tauriel in his son's heart, without being the Bad Guy in the situation. And Legolas will never know. Yeah, I think Thranduil is a bit messed up over the loss of his wife (in the movie!verse). He is ill-tempered, but not (I hope) a racist. And, there's the outside chance that his obsession with those jewels (as a link to her) has crowded out the attention he should be paying to his real link to her (Legolas). I can't help but think that what's really pissing Thranduil off in that split-second confrontation with Tauriel (in the trailer) is that she has somehow come between him and Legolas - that Legolas is siding with her. I'm probably wrong in all of that, but right now it's making me feel better.

Even so, this is still such a Party/Parade look to me (the skull just makes it a Day of the Dead party). I'm going to continue imagining him strutting around at various Festivals of Starlight in it.

The baby!Legolas pic is hilarious. And, yeah, I think if I had to choose, I'd hang out with Lee before I'd hang out with Orlando. Personality types make a big difference.

Were the Dwarves the only characters they were talking about when that comment were made?) I think even the cast, even OB and LP if memory serves, mentioned the theme of father and son moments. So it was not meant to be limited to Dwarves, in my mind. I was so looking forward to that, and all we got is that one scene which is essentially a moment-by-proxy, thanks to Ganddy.
I'm probably wrong in all of that, but right now it's making me feel better. Makes more sense than what is on the table so far
